Malaga is in Andalucia, Spain and is one of the oldest cities in the world. As the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and Antonio Banderas, Malaga is one of the most visited cities in Spain. Malaga is in southern Spain along the Costa del Sol on the northern side of the Mediterranean Sea and is near the Strait of Gibraltar, Tarifa, Mijas, and Marbella.
The weather in Malaga and in this region is warm with mild winters. It has one of the warmest winters in all of Europe with temperatures averaging 63 degrees Fahrenheit during December, January, and February. As one of the oldest cities, it has an extensive history and culture. Popular places to visit include the Cathedral of Malaga, the Castle of Gibralfaro, Constitution Square, a bullring, and various other art museums, architecture, palaces, and Gothic churches. Malaga also celebrates two festivals: August Malaga Fair and Holy Week.
